1 Corinthians 4:6-21

We celebrated baptisms this week at RADIUS Church. While those folks who were baptized preached a sermon in their obedience, we also took some time to continue our series: A Beautiful Mess. John took us into chapter 4 of 1 Corinthians as we looked at the connection between love and humility. Often pride is what keeps us from fully experiencing (and subsequently passing on) the love and grace of Jesus in our lives. Paul’s exhortation to the Corinthian church in chapter 4 (and to the Church today) is to not exult any person (ourselves, a church leader, etc.) over Jesus. Jesus set the standard for humility when He humbled Himself and became our sacrifice – dying a humiliating death on the cross – so that we might have eternal life with Him.

If you would like to talk more about how your story and the Gospel connect, we would love to hear from you. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them here.
