John 3:16-36

For the next several months we will be walking through the life and teachings of Jesus as told to us by someone who walked with Him, the Apostle John.

This week, we finished our look at John chapter 3. We started our conversation with the most well-known verse (or at least reference) in all of Scripture – John 3:16. Lead Pastor, John Reeves, began our conversation by unpacking all of the deep theology embedded in the simple words of this verse: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” We also looked at the remaining verses in chapter 3. For those who choose not to believe in the saving work of Jesus, they are a stern and difficult warning. For those of us who have bowed our knee to Jesus and made Him Lord of our lives, they provide a deep sense of peace and rest in the finished, and complete work that Jesus did on our behalf on the cross. We closed our service by celebrating with those who have chosen to take a public stand for Jesus by stepping out in obedience and being baptized.

If you would like to begin a conversation about following Jesus or would like to talk more about how your story and the Gospel connect, we would love to hear from you.
