Happy Mother’s Day!

We took a short break from our Believe series this week to honor our mothers. The Bible is clear that we are to “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” Paul captures this same command in his letter to the Ephesians when he further expounds on the idea of honor and ties it directly to obedience. Chris took some time this week to walk through those two passages and gave us some glimpses into what exactly God was trying to give to us in this first commandment with a promise. We closed out our time together by praying for the mothers in the room and thanking God for their influence in our lives.

In case you missed it, below is the light-hearted video we created with some of our kids to say thanks to our moms.

I am so thankful to our Radius Staff. An honor to our mothers like I’ve Never heard. Chris Seeby you nailed it! I felt your love, honor and respect for your mother as you portrayed to others with such an astounding heart. I sincerely pray for the young and old to take to heart. Mother’s ARE special. Long lost mine at my age of 29. Never knew until then in deed how special and deserving she actually was. Especially when she took my children to Gods house on Sunday mornings because I sang music for 25 years getting home 2-3 a.m. Never truly Knowing God IN MY HEART OF HEARTS, I NEVER WENT.This involved a 60ish elderly lady having small grade school children overnight. How I wish I could turn back Father Time. I would give her the blessing of sitting on the pew right beside her and my children. One if mine does not go at all. Oh how I thank God for her Peace while at the same time would love to truly give to her what she deserved, HONOR. God gives us, for His reason, our Special Gift. May we honor Him as He commands as WE honor OUR MOTHER with the deepest LOVE COMPASSION AND MERCY GOD PROVIDES.
