Welcome to RADIUS Students

We want to help students develop such passion for Jesus and compassion for others that they don’t graduate from their faith when they graduate from our ministry.

OUR STRATEGY

OUR STRATEGY FOR ACCOMPLISHING OUR PURPOSE IS TO OFFER EACH STUDENT (6th – 12th GRADE) A PERSON, PLACE AND A PLAN.

  • PERSON: We desire that every student who enters our doors would be known by a safe, caring, trained adult leader. These leaders serve as mentors, helping students make good, godly decisions. In addition, these leaders are secondary voices in the lives of students; reinforcing the words of a student’s primary influence – parents.

  • PLACE: We want to create places (gatherings and events) where students are known and can know others in safe, welcoming, fun environments, where Jesus is the centerpiece..  When all of these elements are at work, a student can best receive the life-changing power of God’s Word.

  • PLAN: We want students to understand that God loves them, and has a plan for how they can spend eternity in Heaven with Him. In addition, we want students to know that God also has a plan for how He wants them to spend their lives here on Earth. It’s an exciting, special, and specific plan that is waiting to be discovered.

STUDENT CAMP FAQ
Where is camp?
When is camp?
June 10-14, 2024

How will my student get to camp?

Students and their parent/guardian will check in at RADIUS Church – Lexington on June 10 and load up on charter buses to commute to and from Camp Dixie. We will return to RADIUS Lexington for pickup on June 14 in the afternoon.

What does at day at camp look like?

Imagine a week away at the lake… but with awesome game competitions, new friends and memories to last a lifetime. Each day will bring engaging worship and teaching, small group time, unforgettable games and activities, good food, and FUN!

How much does it cost to go to camp?

$425 covers each students’ bus transportation, lodging, meals, resources, and all camp activities. If your student wants to purchase snacks from Camp Dixie’s snack stand, they’ll need some extra spending money.

There is an option to make a partial payment with your registration.  We will reach out for you to make the final payment May 15.

Whatever the barrier, we’d love to talk about it and see if we can help. To apply for financial assistance, please indicate your need on your student’s camp registration form.

Who will look out for my student?

Our goal is to provide one adult leader for about every eight students. Most of our leaders are your student’s current weekend small group leaders, but we also enjoy having parents and other adult volunteers there as well. If you are interested, we would love to talk more about it with you. Leaders are with students throughout the day during worship, meals, small group time, activities, and lights out. And yes, every leader is background-checked and trained prior to camp.

What about lodging?

Students will stay in dorm buildings with multiple rooms, each with bunk beds and gender-specific communal bathrooms, and multiple leaders. And, of course boys and girls will be separated.

Can my child bring a phone?

Our desire is to be as distraction-free as possible. Cell phones, iPads, and other electronic devices are not permitted. What if you need to contact your student at camp? In the event of emergencies, you will have a number to call that will be given to you closer to departure.

If I just graduated high school, can I still come to camp?

Yes! Students who graduate high school in May/June 2024 can attend camp.

If I’m starting middle school in the fall, can I come to camp?

Not yet. To come to camp, students must have completed sixth grade. But we can’t wait to see you at RADIUS Students Retreat in the fall!
