Russell was joined this week by Lead Pastor, John Reeves, as they talked about “the Church gathered” and “the Church scattered”. Russell taught this past Sunday from 1 Samuel 4 and the story of the ark of the covenant being captured by the Philistines and tied it to how when the ark was taken, the glory of God departed from Israel. Fast-forward to the New Testament and Paul makes the tie that the glory of God is in the Church (Ephesians 3). When the Church is scattered, we miss a vital piece of our spiritual life. As the pandemic continues to keep the universal Church from gathering as it did in the past, we must continue to fight to be together when we can. In our gathering we embody the glory of God for our friends and neighbors to see. Do you have questions? We’d love to hear from you. Send us an email and let’s start a conversation.
