Sit. Walk. Stand.

Week 14

We closed out our series: Sit. Walk. Stand. today as we looked at Ephesians chapter 6. Paul closes his letter to the Ephesians with a strong encouragement to remember who our battle is against and Who is the ultimate victor. As we strive to stand against sin, we must remember that “we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12) When we choose to practice the spiritual disciplines, the enemy wants nothing more than to take shots at us. He wants to tempt us or to accuse us. Remembering that Jesus bought and paid for our redemption and that He has already won the battle is a great comfort and should bolster our faith.

If you haven’t yet called Jesus Lord and Master and you’d like to begin the conversation about what following Jesus looks like, we’d love to hear from you.
