This week we kicked off our look at the Psalms. The Psalms is the largest collection of ancient lyrical poetry that exists. While David wrote almost half of the 150 (73 to be exact), he did not write them all. However, no matter the author, the Psalms are full of honest conversations and express a wide range of real emotions to and about God. We’ll take the next several weeks to look at at a variety of them.
This week we looked at one of David’s, Psalm 36. In it David talks about the separation between the wicked and God. Paul picks up this same language in Romans 3, when he quotes a portion of this Psalm. David also talks about the immense, unending, and inexhaustible love of God. We now know how God bridged that separation – the blood and body of Jesus.
If you would like to begin a conversation about following Jesus or would like to talk more about how your gifts and the local church connect, we would love to hear from you. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them here.
