Pain Turns to Hope

Last week we began the story of Ruth. We looked specifically at the beginning of her story and the pain that came to her and Naomi. This week we picked up with the introduction of Boaz. Boaz was the distant relative of Naomi’s (dead) husband. He comes on the scene and brings the possibility of hope to Ruth’s and Naomi’s stories. He seems to live out his character in how he kindly and generously provides for Ruth (who in turn lives out her righteousness in providing for Naomi). It is the beginning of a beautiful story of how righteous people can change the trajectory of the lives around them.

If you would like to begin a conversation about following Jesus or would like to talk more about how your story and the Gospel connect, we would love to hear from you. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them here.

The Life of Shannon Glenn

This week we had the opportunity to hear from RADIUS Church Partner, Shannon Glenn. He told us of the redeeming power of Jesus through a very difficult upbringing. He also challenged us to continue to press each other to grow as followers of Jesus so that we can continue to see the power of the Gospel take root in the lives of others. We want to share his story so that we can grow as a family, but also so that you can see that there is power when you tell your story to someone else. Would you like to share your story in the future with our church? Let us know here.

My son-in law, Kendall Chaffin, sent me this link to your testimony. I can only imagine the pain and suffering you have experienced.
While I have not had the pleasure to meet you personally, that doesn’t make me any less proud of the man you have become and will continue to be in your walk with Christ.
May your Faith, Words and Deeds be a Beacon for Christ. I believe he is counting on you!!!
