We Are Sent: Week 4

Earlier this year we embarked on a journey through the beginning of the Book of Acts (We Are Priests). In that study we explored the idea that, as followers of Jesus, we become priests. A priest acts as an intermediary between man and God. In We Are Priests, we were challenged to go to God on behalf of people (prayer). In our fourth week we took some time to explore the idea that we are sent to share the grace of Jesus. Donna Johns shared her story of how the Gospel compels her to share grace with friends and neighbors. Jason Autry taught from Acts 15 and unpacked the Jerusalem Council and how that event set the stage to offer a gospel of grace to all mankind. He also reminded us that the beauty of the Gospel is in it’s simplicity – that we should not add to or take away from it. If you would like to begin a conversation about following Jesus or would like to talk more about how your story and the Gospel connect, we would love to hear from you.
