INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The RADIUS Church Internship is a program designed to offer students insight into a variety of practical church ministry experiences. This program is specifically for post-high school or undergraduate college-age students who want to explore the possibility of church ministry.

The RADIUS Church Internship offers a number of tracks to ensure your training aligns with your gifts, passions, and abilities. We want to develop you for the type of ministry you were made to do. We offer internships in the following areas:

– Adult Groups
– Student Ministry
– Creative Arts
– Kids Ministry

– Production / Worship

Who is this program for?

The RADIUS Church Internship is designed for post-high school, or undergraduate college-age students who want to explore the possibility of church ministry.

When does the internship start?

The RADIUS Church Internship is over the summer, starting in late May and going from June through August.

Where will interns live?

We work with each Intern to identify affordable housing in close proximity to the Intern’s site location. Many times, this housing is through RADIUS Church families.

What resources are provided?

RADIUS Church Interns will be given temporary use of a computer and any other books/resources needed for training. They are also provided with a small stipend for specific ministry purposes – i.e. meals with church members, and conferences.

What is the application/interview process?
  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Phone interview with RADIUS Church staff.
  3. Zoom or in-person interview with RADIUS Church staff.
  4. Additional interviews by phone if needed.
  5. RADIUS Church staff will reach out whether the applicant is accepted or not.
What are some hands-on opportunities?

Each RADIUS Intern will be assigned a ministry lead to shadow and learn from. Interns will be active in local outreach, attend ministry planning events, be given opportunities to lead/teach in a variety of settings, and be part of our student summer camp.

What will the schedule be like?

The first four weeks will include onboarding to learn the RADIUS Church culture, and training to help discover your calling. You will then be paired with a staff member and follow a ministry track based on your calling. Below is a typical weekly schedule:

  • Sunday: Worship at one of our campuses as part of a ministry team.
  • Monday – Thursday: Work with your RADIUS Church staff member/ team at one of our campuses
  • Friday – Saturday: Sabbath
Compensation

RADIUS Church Interns are paid $1,000 per month and work approximately 35  hours per week (with the exception of camp weeks). Interns have eleven weeks to complete ten weeks of internship.

Time Off

Interns are given a total of one week of paid time off during their internship. This paid time off is to be scheduled in advance with the Interns’ supervisor. In addition, there are paid holidays throughout the year.

Expectations/Hours

The typical weekly work schedule is based on 35 hours per week for part-time Interns – although this can flex up or down depending on the season.

What's needed of me?

Interns are expected to provide their own transportation and should carry their own health insurance, as RADIUS Church does not offer health insurance to Interns.

The RADIUS Church Residency is a full-time program designed to equip and prepare leaders for a lifetime of significance in ministry. This 12-month program is specifically for young adults who have recently completed their undergraduate degree and are ready to be trained in ministry.

Compensation

RADIUS Church Residents are paid a monthly stipend of $2,500.00 for twelve months ($30,000 annually). In addition, health insurance is an optional benefit.

Time Off

Residents are given a total of two weeks of paid time off during their twelve months. This paid time off is to be scheduled in advance with the Resident’s supervisor. In addition, there are paid holidays throughout the year.

Expectations/Hours

The typical weekly work schedule is based on 40 hours per week – although this can flex up or down depending on the season.
