BACK TO SCHOOL BASH

We kicked off the evening with prayer and a devotion that reminded us that Jesus goes with us and that we’re never alone. From there, families enjoyed hot dogs and chips, picked up backpacks, school supplies, shoes, and children’s clothing, and connected with helpful community resources as they got ready for a new school year.
 
Back to School Bash is one of the ways we get to live out our mission to glorify God by planting churches that make disciples and live generously. We believe generosity goes beyond what we give financially. It also looks like giving our time, serving others, and simply being present in the communities around us. Nights like this give us a chance to do just that—to love our neighbors well and show up in practical ways.
 
We’re so thankful for everyone who helped make this night happen. Because of the generosity of our RADIUS community and the dedication of so many volunteers, 94 students and 38 adults came out for an evening full of encouragement, resources, and fun.
We’re especially grateful for the partners who came alongside us to make the night possible:

• Sea Place for partnering with us and serving our community.
• Prisma Health for providing free sports physicals.
• Nonnie’s Pops for bringing the delicious frozen treats.
• Jennifer Hopkins for donating back-to-school haircuts and helping students head into the school year feeling confident and ready to go.

And a huge thank you to our incredible team of 35 volunteers! You showed up with servant hearts, big smiles, and a willingness to jump in wherever you were needed. That made a real difference for every family who came through the door.

Altogether, we had the opportunity to serve 132 people. We’re grateful for a community that is willing to give generously, serve faithfully, and be present for the people around us.
