RADIUS NEWBERRY'S FIRST BAPTISM CELEBRATION

On Sunday, October 18, just ten months after our January launch, RADIUS Newberry celebrated its first baptisms! Seven people publicly declared their faith in Jesus as we gathered at Lake Murray.

We worshiped in the community center at Dreher Island State Park, where well over 100 people joined us. It was standing room only, with people and worship filling the entire building.

Following worship and the sermon, we heard all seven individuals share their testimonies. Two women were baptized in a tub inside, and five men were baptized in the lake. Afterward, we gathered along the lakeshore to worship once more. With the wind blowing and voices lifted in praise, it was a moment we’ll never forget.

We ended the day with a feast and community, grateful for all God has done. As we celebrate these seven public declarations of faith, we’re reminded of why RADIUS Church exists: to glorify God by planting churches that make disciples and live generously. This was a special day for RADIUS Newberry, and we look forward with anticipation to all God has in store for Newberry County!
