The Christmas season is a special time for believers to do what the people of God have always done – expect and celebrate the advent of Jesus. Advent means arrival. We typically use that word in reference to Jesus’ first arrival, but it also reminds us of His future arrival. Jesus’ arrival was (and will be) unique, necessary, and powerful. Our Advent service is a joy filled celebration of Jesus’ first arrival as a humble infant, as well as an expectant longing for His second arrival when He returns as our glorious King.
On November 29, we worshipped Jesus through songs of expectation and celebration of His arrival.
