The RADIUS Church Summer Internship is a 10-week program for young adults ages 18-22 who have completed their first year of college. The internship is designed to offer students insight into a variety of practical church ministry experiences.

We focus on developing the whole person— the head, heart, and hands— through theological training, spiritual formation, and ministry experience.

MULTIPLICATION INTENSIVE FAQ
Who is this program for?

The Summer Internship is designed for young adults ages 18-22 who have completed their first year of college and want to explore the possibility of church ministry.

When does the internship begin & end?

The Summer Internship is May 25, 2025-August 3, 2025.

 

Where will interns live?

We work with each intern to identify housing options near their RADIUS Church campus location. Many times, this housing is with RADIUS Church Partners and families.

What resources are provided?

RADIUS Church will provide any books or resources needed for training, along with a stipend for specific ministry purposes– i.e. meals with church partners, conferences, etc.

What is the application process like?

Applicants will need to apply online and complete all application requirements. Applications should be submitted by December 5, 2024. Applicants will have a virtual or in-person interview with RADIUS Church staff. RADIUS Church will reach out whether the applicant is accepted or not.

What are some hands-on opportunities?

Each intern will be paired with a staff member to shadow and learn from. Interns will be active in local outreach, attend ministry planning events, be given opportunities to lead/teach in various settings, and serve at RADIUS Students Summer Camp.

What will the schedule be like?

The first few days will include onboarding, training, and learning the RADIUS Church culture. You will then be paired with a staff member and follow a track based on your ministry area. Below is a typical weekly schedule:

  • Sunday: Worship and serve at one of our campuses as part of a ministry team.
  • Monday & Wednesday: Work with your RADIUS Church staff member & intern team at one of our campuses.
  • Tuesday & Thursday: Attend RADIUS Church staff prayer and meetings, and train with all RADIUS interns.
  • Friday–Saturday: Sabbath
Expectations/Hours

The typical weekly work schedule is based on up to 40 hours per week– although this can flex up or down depending on the season (i.e. Summer Camp week).

Compensation

Interns are paid a monthly set amount which will be discussed during the interview process.

What's needed of me?

All interns will need to provide their own transportation and health insurance as RADIUS Church does not offer health insurance to interns.

The RADIUS Church Residency is a program designed to equip and prepare leaders for a lifetime of significance in ministry. This 12-month program is specifically for young adults who have recently completed their undergraduate degree and are ready to be trained in ministry.

The residency has an open start date, meaning it flexes depending on the applicant’s availability.

Applicants will have a virtual or in-person interview with RADIUS Church staff. RADIUS Church will reach out whether the applicant is accepted or not.

Time Off
Residents are given a total of two weeks of paid time off during their twelve months. This paid time off is to be scheduled in advance with the Resident’s supervisor. In addition, there are paid holidays throughout the year.
