Bevin Metts (RADIUS Saluda) provides Christmas “goody bags” and items of need to patients in Assisted Living Homes throughout the midlands. Some provided items include blankets, clothing items, PJs, towels and washcloth sets, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, candy/snacks. The Ministry Grant allowed her to also provide each facility with some board games, puzzles and card games to help the residents have community.
Bevin shared the following update:
“EVERY facility that I have visited since the Christmas giving, I have personally witnessed the residents playing games together. Many have expressed how much they enjoy the activities and how they have something to look forward to each day. I was even able to engage with a few residents at one facility in January and play a game of corn hole with them! Loved hearing the laughter. Many facilities (both staff and residents) expressed gratitude for the generous donations… It has true my been a blessing to enter into these places and see the residents engaging with each other and hearing the laughter in place of silence! Thank you again for the donation!! It would not have been possible with people in my RADIUS!”
