MEET JON ROSS FORDREE – PASTOR

I am a South Carolina native having been raised in Inman, SC. My wife, Emily, and I have been married since the Fall of 2019. We met at North Greenville University where I received a B.A. in Christian Studies and started my Masters of Divinity. We previously lived in the city of Greer where I served as a pastoral resident and worked as an admissions counselor for NGU but moved to Gilbert during the summer of 2021 to work at RADIUS Church and aid in the discipling of the next generation. I enjoy anything outdoors like camping, kayaking, hunting, and hiking and reading books about things most people find boring (my current favorite is American Buffalo which tells the history of Bison in America).

Occasionally throughout our look at the Gospel of Mark, we are pausing to reflect on the attributes of God that we see in the passages. We continued this week by looking at the holiness of God. In the early chapters of Mark's Gospel, we get to see a glimpse of Jesus' holiness as he walks through His temptations in the wilderness and as He performs the miraculous healings of the leper and the paralytic. Do you struggle to believe that a holy God could love you? As we discussed last week, the grace of God makes that possible.
